Cima Investment Group and 1031 Crowdfunding deliver 70-unit veterans housing project in partnership with OCHA and MAPS 4

Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, the Oklahoma City Housing Authority (OCHA), and MAPS 4 leadership cut the ribbon today on Dorset Place Veteran Community—a 70-unit permanent supportive housing development for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. See the official video here.

Greg Shinn, Assistant Executive Director of Development for the Housing Authority speaks to the press at Dorset Place Veterans Community in Oklahoma City, on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025.
The project represents the successful transformation of a former assisted living facility into purpose-built veterans housing. Cima Investment Group, in partnership with 1031 Crowdfunding, acquired the property in November 2024 and partnered with OCHA and the City of Oklahoma City to execute the conversion, supported by $1.9 million in MAPS 4 Homelessness funding.
"This is what happens when private capital, public investment, and community need align," said Jonathan Judd, CEO of Cima Investment Group. "Six months ago, this was an underperforming senior living facility. Today, veterans are moving in. The team at OCHA and the vision behind MAPS 4 made this possible—and we're honored to have played a role."

Phase 1 of Dorset Place includes 37 units, with 14 veterans already in residence as of the ribbon cutting. Phase 2 will add 33 additional units. According to Oklahoma City's 2025 Point-in-Time Count, 132 veterans in the city were experiencing homelessness—meaning Dorset Place, once fully occupied, could house more than half of that population.

"MAPS 4 improves our city's quality of life in new ways, and one of our greatest needs right now is affordable housing," said Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt. "I am very pleased that this specific MAPS 4 project is also directly supporting our veterans, as Oklahoma City is a patriotic community and the place where many veterans choose to settle."

The grand opening was covered by KFOR News, Fox 25 Oklahoma City, OKC Free Press, and The Oklahoman, with additional coverage from the City of Oklahoma City and OKC VeloCity.
